How Do The Charters Work?

The Fire Aware Charters are discipline specific, relating to the type of business applying for membership.

The charters have been created using experience gained in the industry which recognises the weaknesses in the delivery of fire safety.

The charter obligations are based on a businesses’ understanding of their moral obligations to keep people safe.

Fire Aware Charters

The charters do not specifically request technical compliance in any particular area, but they do obligate the member company to understand its competence requirement’s for the work they are undertaking, and to prove a consistent track record of these compliance benchmarks. The charters ask the member business to at all times consider the safety of the end user, and to go above and beyond minimum standards to promote an enthusiasm within the member business to identify itself as a business that cares.
